GREETINGS HAPPY HOLIDAYS
I would like to personally introduce our organization, The Simeon Connection, affectionately referred to as the TSC, to you. If you have ever heard of the Simeon Career Academy, located at 8147 S. Vincennes Ave. We are the former administrators, teachers, faculty and staff members, parents, and community representatives that have been connected with the school for many years.
As a former connected entity of the school, we came together to maintain our comradery, to socially have fun and support each other with no apparent reason at all other than for having fun. Our general purposes can be stated as follows:

To continue our influence and maintain relationships with our Simeon family and its students,

To provide scholarship funding to deserving graduates, especially those who choose to major in education or teacher preparation,
-
To maintain a relationship and support system for these graduates while attending college and act as mentors to them wherever needed,
-
To enjoy a variety of social outings,
-
To share talents and creativity for enjoying life after retirement, and
-
To perpetuate the legacy of the Simeon Career Academy of which we are all so proud.
If any of our purposes fill you with excitement, please consider joining us in these endeavors. We welcome each and every one of you.

THE SIMEON CONNECTION FAMILY
In keeping with our purpose as an organization of former Administrators, teachers, parents, and Community Members coming together to have fun while, at the same time, being of our Simeon students through providing scholarship assistance to qualifying graduates, we are in the process of planning a five day, four-night excursion to Charleston South Carolina.
THIS TRIP IS PLANNED FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 26
TO JUNE 30 2023.
This is a fundraiser. A portion of the proceeds will
benefit our scholarship recipients.

The Chicago Board of Education, founded in 1840, is responsible for the governance, organizational and financial oversight of Chicago Public Schools (CPS), the third largest school district in the United States of America. It establishes policies, standards, goals and initiatives to ensure accountability and provide a high quality, world-class education for the 21st century that prepares our students for success in college, work and life.
Established by the Illinois state legislature in 1895 as The Public School Teachers' Pension and Retirement Fund of Chicago, CTPF is the administrator of a multi-employer defined benefit public employee retirement system providing retirement, survivor, and disability benefits for certain certified teachers and employees of the Chicago Public Schools.
For over 8 decades RTAC has served many thousands of retirees of the Chicago Public Schools, depending on its membership for time, talents and contributions to implement actions and programs which are vital to protecting our pensions.
I cannot overemphasize our common role in facing the years ahead as public pensions are increasingly viewed as expendable.
